Meet 9:30 am at trail head.  This is at the one mile end of the Elliott Creek/Goat Lake spur off the Mountain Loop Highway.

This should be a beautiful summer hike with all the snow melted.  The countryside is very historic.  It might be possible to swim or get wet in the lake, assuming the weather is warm enough.
