Take a trip through history as we hike up the abandoned road to the former National Park visitor center and the site of the Elwha Dam. Since the dam's removal, the river has been reclaiming the valley and the old road is no longer passable for cars. Our destination is the former dam site, at the spectacular West Glines canyon overlook.
9 am at the Madison Falls trailhead, a short drive off of Highway 101, west of Port Angeles. A NP pass or equivalent is required.
