We will meet on Saturday May 8th at 8:00am at the Elwha Trailhead. I know that this is early, but there is limited parking at the trailhead.

This will be a road walk for the first three miles to the dam overlook, except for a half mile section of trail that bypasses the washout.  We will then take the old Lake Mills Trail, and come back along the Smokey Bottom Trail which is the old lake bed of Lake Mills and see how the restoration project is returning the area back to wilderness. After the hike we can take a short quarter mile hike up to Madison Falls.

Please read the Mountaineers Policy on covid-19 and plan on bringing a mask to wear when passing other hikers on the trail.
