Easy trail to one of the more popular settings in the park. Splendid views of Mt. Rainier East, Mt. Ruth, Camp Schurmann, Inter Glacier and Emmons Glacier. Side trip possible to old mining sites, St. Elmo's Pass and playing on snowfields.Hikers should have 3 liters of water and ten essentials. 1280 ft. elevation gain. 7 miles round trip. Tell me if you wish to carpool, ride or drive, and # of passengers you can take. I will coordinate carpools. At least one person per car will need to have or purchase a national park pass.
