By signing up for the hike, you are commiting to the trip. Carpools will be offered when possible, and if you must cancel, please do so as soon as possible (before registration closes) so there is time to allow anyone on the waitlist to participate.
With exception to the final 4 miles of forest road, the rest of the drive is paved.
There will be a short stop at the former dam overlook on the way to the trailhead.
Depending on the weather and the group, the sidetrip to the suspension bridge may be eliminated, this would bring the roundtrip distance to approx. 6.5 mi. or with the bridge to 8 mi.
Please be prepared for fall weather and trekking poles are recommended, the route has some up and down.
Optional dinner and/or Annual Dungeness Crab/Seafood Festival in Port Angeles after the hike.
