FOR MOUNTAINEERS MEMBERS ONLY. Prior to registration, be sure you have current ID for border crossing: current passport, WA enhanced drivers license, or WA enhanced ID card. This is an ideal naturalist trip, with great photo opportunities. Binoculars and cameras are encouraged. Wildlife viewing highlights will be wintering bald eagles (at near peak numbers), trumpeter swans and other waterfowl, dippers, other birds, river otters, coho salmon and chum salmon (mostly spawned out). Viewing areas will include Chehalis River, Harrison River and Bay, Nicomen Slough, and Agassiz - Maris Slough. Accommodation recommendations for local motels and RV/tenting are available from the trip leader. Leader recommends you do a Saturday overnight, and Friday night optional.
