9:00 AM at Outside the park office
Photograph shorebirds are beach show-stoppers while saltwater spotlights loons, mergansers, and grebes. Meadowlarks sing atop driftwood, raptors perch on snags. Nearby areas feature harbor seals, river otters, so there's plenty of things to photograph. Meeting location will be outside the park office and we'll be primarily hiking along the beach (2.25 miles). I will be camping here all weekend; others are welcome to do the same. Up to three other tent campers may join my site at no additional cost (first-come, first served).
