Meet at 10:30 AM at Nomad PNW Coffee Shop, 529 Church St (SR 165), Wilkeson.  To get there, exit from SR 167 eastbound onto SR 410 toward Sumner, Bonney Lake and Buckley.  Turn right at Loss -Mundy Road, left at the T junction at SR 162, and continue strait at the next junction to continue on SR 165 to Wilkeson.  No parking fee is required.

The town parking lot in front of Nomad PNW Coffee Shop has been improved, so it provides ample parking.   A restroom is available at the Coffee Shop and there are also portapotties by the parking lot.   We will walk a short distance north from there to the Foothills Trail trailhead, and loop three miles south from there to the Carbonado Saloon, our lunch stop, where there is both good food and interesting historical decor and exhibits, as well as men's and women's restrooms.

The hike is mostly through a wilderness area, with the last half mile being on Carbonado town streets, going initially by the pioneer town cemetery, which has interesting grave markers and memorials.
