Meet at 10:30 AM at Nomad PNW Coffee Shop, 529 Church St, Wilkeson, reached by heading east on SR 410 to Buckley, right onto SR 165, left at the stop sign to stay on SR 165 and continuing to Wilkeson.  There is a restroom at the coffee shop and by the town parking lot.

The town parking lot in front of Nomad PNW Coffee Shop has been improved, so it provides ample parking.  The hike begins a short distance north of there on the Foothills Trail and continues three miles to the Carbonado Saloon in Carbonado, which is our lunch spot and turnaround point.  State law prohibits minors at the Saloon, so participation in the hike is restricted to people age 21 and over.  The Saloon was built in the 1800's and has exhibits of the history of Carbonado, as well as good food.
