Sept. 13, Sat. – First and Second Burroughs (M) {Mt Rainier E- 270 (GT) and Mt Rainier W- 269 ( GT) } 9 mi. rt. Gain1300’. High Point 7400’. Climb to an overlook of White River and Emmons Glacier. Burroughs Mountain is the remnant of a lava flow which filled an ancient canyon, the displaced streams carved valleys at the sides of the flow, leaving a tableland.
