  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 12.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,600 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 5,930 ft
  • Pace: 2 to 2.5 mph

TBD based on location of participants. We will be at Excelsior trailhead by 8am

Similar to the hike Cheryl leads the weekend before. We will meet at Excelsior TH and drop off just enough cars that can fit everyone and gear. We will then continue on to Welcome Pass TH and hike from Weslcome Pass west to Excelsior Peak. We will hike up to an open ridge of meadows where we will have expansive views of Baker, Shuksan, and the North Cascades. I plan to hit 5 different summits (4 are in Peakbagger) along the way, even if having to venture off-trail to reach some summits cross-country.

The forecast calls for far less haze than earlier the week before, so we should have some great weather for this hike!
