Day Hike - Excelsior Peak

Hike up the Excelsior Peak trail, hike six miles along the High Divide trail to Welcome Pass, and descend the Welcome Pass trail. The drivers will then have a quick 5-mile downhill bike ride to retrieve the cars and double back for the rest of us.

7:00 am at the Horseshoe Bend trail head, at the east end of the town of Glacier, on the right immediately after SR 542 crosses the Nooksack River. This parking lot is across the street from the entrance to the Douglas Fir campground, where I will be staying in site #13 and 14.

Participants are invited to camp the night prior to this hike and/or the night after at my reserved campsites at the Douglas Fir campground and come on my Coleman Pinnacle scramble the day before and/or my Goat Mt scramble the next day.
