Join us fo an easy evening hike down to the beach (about 2 miles round trip) from the Lot F at the Evergreen State College. Plan for water play at the beach and s'mores making.

This is a wonderful and easy hike through dense forest down to the beach from TESC. Preference will be given to families hiking with kids.

Kids and parents should be prepared with the 10 essentials and "parent" essentials. We will meet in the F lot at Evergreen state college about 5:30 to go over introductions and begin our hike which will  include some fun navigation exercises (we will provide the compasses). Come and explore a treasure in our very own backyard!

Parking: You can purchase a $1 parking pass from the booth at the main entrance of Evergreen State College that will be good for 2 hours or an all day pass for $3. Some metered parking is available at the trailhead.

Directions: 

From I-5, take exit 104 for Hwy 101 north and continue north on Hwy 101 for just about 3 miles. Take the exit toward Mud Bay Road andThe Evergreen State College and keep left, following signs for Evergreen State College. Continue onto Evergreen Parkway NW for 1.8 miles, and at the traffic circle, take the first exit and stay on Evergreen Parkway NW. Turn left onto Overhulse Place and proceed about a half mile, then turn left onto Driftwood Road NW and proceed about 0.3 miles to the entrance to Parking Lot F.
