Aug. 25, Mon. – Easy Pass (S) (GT Mt. Logan #49), NWFP, 7 mi., 2,900’ gain. Moderate pace. A close cousin to Maple Pass with dramatic views of Mt. Logan, Black Peak, alpine glaciers and sculptured landscape. This hike, however, is not as easy as it sounds as the trail is often rugged and steep, and climbs the northeast slope of Ragged Ridge. This hike is part of Annual North Cascades Car Camp from August 25-27, Mon.-Wed. Join us for three days of hiking in the spectacular North Cascades. Explore the unique geology of this region. We will camp two nights at Colonial Creek Campground just off the North Cascades Highway. It is suggested that participants also camp Sunday night due to the travel distance and early hike start time the following day. Easy hikes may be led by a second leader concurrently with more strenuous hikes. Register with clubhouse or online. Glen Strachan, 425-869-8094 or glenshgi@msn.com (s7/28-8/21) NC
