10 AM at the Enumclaw Safeway. We will car caravan from there.
This is the first part of a two day trip of the Stevens Canyon Backpack trip on 7/10.
Itinerary:
We will drop a car off at the Silver Falls parking area only SR-123 and return up the road to the Deer Creek Jct. of the Eastside Trail. Hike the trail one-way to Silver Falls with a stop at Grove of the Patriarchs. 8 miles, mostly down-hill. We will retrieve the other cars and proceed to Box Canyon TH for the Backpacking part of the trip and camping at Maple Creek (see July 10th post).
Leader's Permission is required. This trip is not a stand alone trip and must be done along with the juxtaposed 7/9-10 overnight per Mountaineers' Covid-19 guidelines.
