Day Hike - East Tiger Mountain

Hikes with Spikes. Strenuous trek up Masterlink trail and returning via trails on East Tiger's Northeast side. Snow on the trail and in the sky. 12 miles, 2600' gain

8:30 AM at Tiger Summit TH, in the far lot 1/3 miles from the highway  exit.  Discover Pass is required.

Covid-19--we will follow all Mountaineers protocol.  Each participant must bring a cloth facemask and hand sanitizer. Facemasks must be worn within 6' of others. Carpooling is not recommended.

We will take the following trails in a clockwise loop. From TH-the Connector Trail to Masterlink Trail to Quicklink Trail to RD 5500 to  "new trail" to the top of East Tiger Mtn.  On return will take RD 5570 to East Tiger Summit Trail to Preston RR Grade Trail to RD 5500 to Fully Rigid Trail to Joyride Trail to Northwest Timber Trail to Connector Trail to the TH. This is a strenuous trip that will be mostly in the snow with temperature at about freezing and light snow forecasted.  Please carefully consider if this kind of trip that works for you. Microspikes or similar, two pairs of gloves and trekking poles are required. Should be a fun and enjoyable workout.  Rob
