8:00 AM at PooPoo point/Chirico trailhead (by parasail landing area)
This hike captures the best views that the Tigers have to offer, including seldom visited East Tiger lookout.

We will shuttle to Tiger Summit on highway 18 to start this trip, leaving most vehicles at the Chirico trailhead. From Tiger Summit we'll hike on a gated road for about 3 miles to the top of East Tiger for it's excellent views southwest. Then we'll circle back around (still on the road) for another 2-3 miles to a connector trail which heads steeply up a ridge to West Tiger 1 for more views, before making our way through the maze down and west to Poo Point and the great northwest views there. Total mileage is about 12.5, elevation gain about 3500'. We will move at a brisk 2.5 mph pace, so participants should be well conditioned and able to move along with few rest stops. Though the forecast is for sun, as always bring raingear and dress in layers that can be easily shed as we heat up or added back if we stop. I don't anticipate encountering much snow but there could be mud so gaiters might be a good idea.

More info will be forthcoming a day or so before the hike.
