Meet at 3:00 pm at the Tibbetts Park and Ride to carpool to the trailhead for the Bear Ridge Trail, which has limited parking.
The plan is to take in several highlights of the Cougar Mtn area, the Fantastic Erratic, Clay Pit and Mine Shaft. The length and elevation gain of the trip will be determined by group interest but pace will be moderate. Headlamps are a must since return before dark is not guaranteed. I recommend looking at or even printing out the Cougar trail system map since there are so many possibilities. Klondike Swamp Trail? Anti-Aircraft Peak? Umbrellas recommended if it's raining.
