6:30 AM at Tacoma
Moderate pace to lighthouse for lunch. Long lunch break to visit the lighthouse and enjoy the views. Minus tide of 0.9’ at 2:38 p.m. Leave Tacoma at 6:45 a.m., dinner on the way back to Tacoma – trailhead is near Sequim, a two hour drive. Golden Eagle Pass or $3 entrance fee per carload payable at trailhead. Rain and wind gear and sun protection a must on this trip. If you have not hiked with me before, when you contact me about signing up for my hike (via phone or email), please be ready to provide the following information: your full name, telephone number, whether you are a member (what branch and for how long), what your hiking experience is (both with and outside of The Mountaineers), and where you live so I can figure out carpooling. So we can all have a safe, fun trip, everyone is required to carry the Ten Essentials, and be properly attired - no cotton, no blue jeans, no sneakers.
