Duckabush River

Day Hike - Duckabush River

Fall hiking - it’ll probably be wet and a little chilly - love it! We’ll keep a steady pace with fewer breaks and make the most of the shorter fall day.

  • Elevation Gain: 2,300 ft
  • Pace: 2 mph

We’ll meet at 5:45 am, ready to depart at 6:00am, at the South Hill Park and Ride, 9th Street SW and 31st Avenue SW (formerly known as 94th Street SW and 104th Street E - the City of Puyallup incorporated the area, hence the new street names and confusion).  This is the Park and Ride on the North side of Hwy 512 and we’ll meet in the NW area of the lot, look for the red Ford Explorer.  Carpools are encouraged but not required.

This is a new area for me, so we’ll be learning together.  If you are inclined to drive, a NW Forest Pass or Interagency Pass is required and we will be on some gravel / forest service roads.  Plan for an all-day event, with a stop for a post-hike treat if everyone is agreeable.
