Meet at 11:30 AM at Eagle Creek Campground, reached by heading south on I-5 and I-205, east on I-84 and taking Exit 44 to Eagle Creek Campground. A Northwest Forest Pass or National Park Pass may be needed.
This hike is part of the May 22-23 Columbia River Gorge Car Camp, involving meeting at 11:30 AM Saturday at Eagle Creek Campground to set up camp and have a picnic lunch, caravanning to the Dry Creek Falls trailhead at the south end of the Bridge of the Gods, hiking to Dry Creek Falls and back, driving back to Eagle Creek Campground for a camp dinner and overnight encampment, breaking camp Sunday morning, caravanning to the Eagle Creek trailhead for the hike to Punchbowl Falls, followed by a picnic lunch near the trailhead, caravanning to the Horsetail Falls trailhead and hiking to Horsetail, Ponytail and Oneonta Falls and back. Then we drive home. There is the option for a brief stop at Multnomah Falls on the drive home. There are restrooms at Eagle Creek Campground and Multnomah Falls Lodge. Anyone registering for the Dry Creek Falls hike must also register for the Punch Bowl, Horsetail, Ponytail and Oneonta Falls hike, and participate in the Saturday night encampment at Eagle Creek Campground. Registration for the car camp is by registering for the two related day hikes. Compliance is monitored by requiring leader permission for the day hikes.
