September 7-9, Tue.-Thur. – Annual North Cascades Car Camp. Join us for three days of hiking in the spectacular North Cascades. Explore the unique geology of this region. We will camp two nights at Klipchuck Campground west of the town of Mazama. It is suggested that participants also camp Monday night (Labor Day) due to the travel distance and early hike start time the following day. Driveway Butte, Stiletto Vista, and Maple Pass – see hike descriptions below. Easier hikes may be led by a second leader, such as Cedar Creek and Lake Ann trails, concurrently with more strenuous hikes. Register with clubhouse or online. Glen Strachan, 425-869-8094 or glenshgi@msn.com. Co-leader: Susan Reiley (s8/16-9/2) NC Sept. 7, Tue. – Driveway Butte (S) (GT Washington Pass No. 50) NWFP, 8 mi., 3,000’ gain. Moderate pace.
