Day Hike - Dirty Harry's Balcony

This is an out and back trail with a start at the trailhead at the Far Side parking lot. Moderate day hike to Dirty Harry's Balcony. We will have snack/lunch at the balcony and head back to the cars. Fully vaccinated participants only. If the weather forecast shows rain lightly or on and off, this hike will be a go. If it is expected to rain heavily, this hike will be cancelled.

Meet at the trailhead sign in the parking lot at the Far Side at 10:30am. Discover Pass Required.

Leader's notes

This is a mentored hike for Lisa Jones. The mentor is Rena Chinn, also the co-leader of this hike. Please expect the group to stay together. We will take moderate breaks along the way as needed for adjusting clothing, appreciating natural beauty, and such. The main break will be at Balcony viewpoint.

Expect a typical Pacific Northwest day, which means that it might be wet and the trail will be muddy and slippery at places. Bring your rain gear, e.g., rain jacket, waterproof boots, pack cover, and etc. Hiking poles may be helpful.
