8:30 a.m. at Trailhead
The trailhead is past MP 27 on the Mountain Loop Highway. It is a large gravel parking lot on your left and luckily it has restroom facilities. Bring poles and gaiters if you have them because there is a possibility of snow near the top. Also, bring plenty of water. This is a fantastic hike and it is most enjoyable this time of year. While the hike is strenuous, the trail is very well maintained. The view from the top provides for a very rewarding experience; it's well worth the effort! You will also need a Northwest Forest Pass. If the trailhead meeting time in this message should conflict with the "Go Guide," 8:30 a.m. is the correct meeting time.
