Slab Camp trailhead, 9:00am

We will hike up to Deer Park campground, rest a bit, then continue up the road to the summit of Blue Mountain. This hike should provide great views (weather permitting) and a good workout. There is no water available en-route or at the campground, so bring at least 2 bottles of water. Plus the usual 10 essentials.

Please remember that due to the Mountaineers COVID-19 guidelines, we no longer facilitate carpooling. You will need to get to the trailhead on your own. Enter "Slab Camp Creek/Deer Ridge Trailhead" into Google Maps to see where the trailhead is and get a time estimate from your location. And remember that this is a 12+ mile, fairly strenuous hike. If the hike difficulty or lack of carpooling is an issue for you, *now* would be a good time to consider that, instead of the day before the hike.
