9:00 AM at Sharpe Park on Fidalgo Island
This isn't just any walk in the park. Come explore moss drenched forests, walk along wind swept bluffs, and stand atop towering cliffs - all within the boundaries of three of Washington State's most scenic parks. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Sharpe Park/Montgomery Duban Headlands Park trailhead. Here are the directions: From Seattle, take I-5 North. Once you get past Mount Vernon, start looking for exit 230; this is the exit for Highway 20. You will need to take exit 230 and take a left at the stop light; you will then travel west on Highway 20 for approximately 11 miles. As you approach Anacortes, take a left at the sign for "Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, Deception Pass;" you will then travel south on Highway 20 for approximately five miles towards Deception Pass. You will see the sign for Deception Pass State Park on your right - turn right there; this is Rosario Road. Follow Rosario Road for approximately three miles to the trailhead for Sharpe Park; the trailhead will be on your left.
