This is hike takes place at Deception Pass State Park. The route we'll take will include both the north and south sides of the park. On Fidalgo island, we'll hike along the cliffs and beaches. On Whidbey Island, we'll head up a hill to a viewpoint (the Olympics can be seen on a clear day). There's no need to swim between the islands since the bridge connecting them has a sidewalk we can use.
There will be a fair amount of elevation changes though given the topography of the park, the elevation profile is likely inaccurate. I used caltopo to calculate the elevation gain since GaiaGPS's elevation profile was very choppy. With that in mind, be prepared for a hilly hike.
