Meet at 10 AM at the Tibbetts Park and Ride lot on the southeast corner of the intersection of  Newport Way and the Renton-Issaquah Road.  Note:  There are other parking lots north and east of there.  Be sure you are at the right one.

We will caravan from the park and ride lot to the trailhead, on a switchback of Mountainside Drive.   For the first 1.5 miles, the trail follows the former road that the Bullitt family drove to their cabin at the top of the mountain, of which only a fireplace now remains.  Even the view is gone, through forest growth.  At the 1.5 mile point we will veer off to Debbie's View, where we have a bench to sit on and an unobstructed view for miles to the south.  There is a portapotty at the meeting place, but no restroom facilities on the hike.  No parking pass is required at either the park and ride lot meeting place or at the trailhead.
