Meet at Dash Point Highlands Park at 9am and be geared up and ready to hike by 9:15am. This park is nestled in a peaceful residential neighborhood. There is no parking lot, so you park along the street. No parking pass is required.
**I will be carrying my 9 month old baby. Although we hike frequently and she does great, please be patient if I need to check on her at some point during the hike**
This hike is part of our new hike category of CASUAL PACED HIKES. Everyone is welcome. We will only go as fast as the whole group can go. If you are new to the Mountaineers, are getting back into hiking, or just want a slower-paced hike, this is for you!
We will hike through the forest, along a stream and down to the beach. There are some sections where you need to watch your footing, but overall this trail is in great shape and we can take our time as needed. I often see bunnies, seals and bald eagles when I do this hike.
