Meet at 11:30 AM Saturday at the campground entrance booth of Ocean City State Park,  148 WA-115, Hoquiam, WA. 98550.  It is reached from Hoquiam by heading west from US 101 onto SR 109, turning left at SR 115 and then right into Ocean City State Park, which is just past the Quinault Casino entrance.

This hike is part of the June 19-20 Ocean City State Park Car Camp, involving hiking Damon Point on Saturday, camping Saturday night at Ocean City State Park and hiking on Sunday in nearby Griffiths-Priday State Park at Copalis Beach. Registration for the car camp is by registering for the two day hikes.  Anyone registering for one of the day hikes must also register for the other day hike and for the overnight.  Compliance is monitored by requiring leader permission for either of the day hikes.

Five adjoining campsites have been reserved for the overnight.  Both day hikes are on beaches with no elevation gain and 4 miles total distance.  Saturday's hike is a loop.  The Sunday hike is an out and back.  Both hikes have unique scenic qualities that previous hikers have appreciated, including opportunities for wildlife observation.  No cars are permitted on either beach.

There are portapotties at the Damon Point trailhead and there are restrooms at both Ocean City State Park and Griffiths-Priday State Park.
