6:15 at the Enumclaw US Forest Service Ranger Station, 450 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022. Or 7:00 at the trailhead.

Tough, but very pretty hike. If it's clear you can see all of Washington's volcanos and Mt. Hood.  There will be wildflowers, the Magenta Paintbrush might be blooming. There is a water source at 1.5 and 6.5 miles. There will be no snow on the trail. My pace when I'm hiking is 1.75-2.00 mph going up this trail and about the same coming down. Folks can always hike as fast as they like on my hikes as long as they stop every 45 minutes and at trail junctions.

Scouting report, Sunday July 2nd. I got to the trailhead at 7:00 AM, I saw 1 person going up and 104 coming down. There is no snow, glacier lilies are coming up where there was snow. Lots of wildflowers already, many more are coming. I did see 2 magenta paintbrush starting to bloom, there should be more in 2 weeks.
