South Hill Park and Ride , far west side of the lot, 7:00AM.
This is listed as strenuous and many might put that out of their category. In truth, we'll allow the whole day and go as slow as the slowest person wants to go so it's a chance to see if all the summer hikes have "moved you up a notch" . It also means it won't be what you are looking for if you are a trail runner or speed hiker.
Weather is unpredictable at this time of year and it can be the most embracing fall activity you've had or a portent of the coming winter with some snow. Dress for any eventuality and good lug soled boots are a requirement.
Be sure to bring a lunch for the summit and plenty of liquids and a camera.
I'll have paper maps for all participants so don't go buy one.
