Day Hike - Crystal Lakes (Mount Rainier)

Gorgeous old growth, views of The Mountain, and two alpine lakes make this scenic (and popular). Expect up to 6-8 inches of snow at the upper lake.

Meet at Enumclaw Safeway at 0800.  We'll get organized and depart about 0815.  (Depending on number of cars etc. we can leave one at the USFS ranger station)

1. As of now, HWY 410 into the park is still open.  If that changes, our back up hike will be Snoquera Palisades outside of Greenwater.

2. Note that with the cold weather and recent storm, there has been significant snowfall at higher elevations.  I expect we will be hiking through a few inches of snow as we approach about 5000 ft elevation.   We'll take our time but please ensure you are comfortable with this and have appropriate footwear.

3. Please send me photo of your vax card before you sign up.
