Day Hike - Crystal Lakes (Mount Rainier)

Pleasant hike to the upper Crystal Lake. We will hike at a moderate pace (approx. 2 mph). We'll take a break at the lake before returning the same route.

Arrive at the Crystal Peak Trailhead by 8:30a.

Catch the end of summer near Mt. Rainier.  Total distance/elevation gain to the upper lake is 6 miles / 2,300'.  We'll target a 2mph pace and take a break at the lake.  In addition to the 6 miles round-trip to the upper lake, we will explore the area around the lake depending on how the group is feeling. 

The trailhead is outside the park boundaries, so no fees/permits required.
