Social paced moderate hike in Mt Rainer National Park, Sunday July 16. The two Crystal lakes are in a alpine basin in the rain shadow. The trail may not have many views of the mountain - but once there, the lakes and peaks surrounding the basin more than make up for it! We will have lunch at the upper lake. 2300 feet gain, 6 miles RT. Meet at 10:00 am. at the Federal Way Transit Center (take the left lane transit exits off I-5; see Metro route map link for location http://transit.metrokc.gov/cftemplates/show_map.cfm?BUS_ROUTE=194&DAY;_NAV=WSU), in the southwest corner of the lower level of the parking garage. Park pass required for parking at trail head. Cell & home: (253) 797-4895.
