Cowiche Canyon Trail Wildflower Viewing - Yakima. Mid-April to Mid-May are the prime times to view Eastern Washington wildflowers. We will carpool from Olympia- driving over 1-90 to Yakima. We will stop in North Bend to meet hikers who are coming from the North. Cowiche Canyon is a nature conservancy just outside of Yakima. We will hike the 2.9 mile Cowiche Canyon Trail and take a .5 mile side trip on the newly developed Winery Trail that connects the Cowiche Canyon Trail with the Tasting Room Washington on Naches Height. We will picnic here and allow time for those who want to visit the tasting room. Cameras are encouraged.
