Day Hike - Cowiche Canyon

Let’s enjoy a mellow day hike in a lovely spot in the Yakima/Selah hills. The trail travels along Cowiche Creek and has some lovely canyon views. The two side trails we'll hike add about 2 1/2 miles and 1,000+ of elevation to the normal canyon floor hike. See the "Easter Island" face rocks! Lovely wildflowers should be a bloomin'!! And oh yes, we are going to also take “The Winery Trail” side-trail to scenic Wilridge Winery (and vineyards) for lunch. Wine-tasting or take-home purchase of a bottle available. The tasting room has some limited food choices, but Ok to bring your own lunch too; there are picnic tables.

Lets meet at 7:30 at Tibbits Park & Ride  in Issaquah (exit 15 off I-90); it is across the street from and just south of the Issaquah Transit Center building on Newport Way NE.  We can consolidate cars from there.  I will drive and can take three.  It's about a 2 hour drive to the trailhead from Issaquah.
