Let’s enjoy a 2-2.5 pace morning hike around the trails of Cougar Mountain and view Dougherty, Far Country and Coal Creek waterfalls along the way. We will stop for 5-10 minutes at the waterfalls for snacks and photos, and at all the trail junctions (there are a lot!). Snack and hydrate on the trail and plan to be done by lunchtime. 

Route: Sky Country — Washington Trails Association (this link has directions to parking at Sky Country parking lot. There are a couple different routes to access this TH.

Cougar Mountain: Sky Country Trailhead — The Mountaineers

WTA: Directions: From I-90, take Exit 13 and drive south on Lakemont Blvd SE for 2.5 miles. Turn left on SE Cougar Mountain Way and then right on 166th Way SE. Follow 166th Way SE just under a mile to the end. On the right is the Sky Country Trailhead parking lot.

Equipment: Ten essentials required.  Poles recommended.  

Trail Conditions: Muddy in places, some sketchy stairs down to the waterfall viewing areas
