Day Hike - Cougar Mountain: Sky Country Trailhead

This is a wonderful year-round hike and perfect for getting ready for the summer hiking season. If you are a beginning hiker, this is a great choice to get oriented to trails, etc. We will link together many trails making for a variety of scenery and terrain. Plans are for lunch to be at the gondola with a view of North Bend, assuming the weather cooperates.

The hike leader will be at the trail at 8 am. Check in will begin at 8:20 am with plans to hit the trail at 8:30 am. I would expect the hike to conclude by noon.

There is a  good size parking lot but it it is a sunny spring day the lot will fill up quickly. Members are encouraged to carpool.

No parking fee or pass required.

Event is being cancelled due to covid-19 pandemic and Mountaineer policy. This will be rescheduled at a later date.

The trails are typically in good shape with minimal rolling elevation up and down. I  am a brisk hiker at 3 mph pace and would expect others to keep this pace.
