Woodland hike to begin conditioning for summer hiking. We are not doing the Cougar Loop as described in Route/Places. We will begin on the Bear Ridge trail and ascend to find the "Fantastic Erratic."  Then continue to Clay Pit Road. Visiting the clay pit will depend on our pace and the available daylight left. We will hike at a moderate pace (approx. 2 mph), our goal is to finish in daylight. Bring a sack dinner.
