Meet at 9:30 AM at the Redtown Trailhead parking lot, at the sharp curve in Bellevue's Lakemont Blvd SE, where it becomes Newcastle's Newcastle Golf Club Road.
Our hiking adventure will take us by the historic Ford Slope mine entrance, the De Leo Wall viewpoint, Far Country Falls, Far Country Viewpoint (our lunch spot), Doughty Falls, Long View Peak Viewpoint and Coal Creek Falls via a counter clockwise loop route through the southern part of the park. No parking pass is required. There are two portapotties at the trailhead, but not elsewhere on the hiking route, but there will be multiple opportunities for bathroom breaks during the hike. It is most likely that the hike will end around 2:30 PM.
