Tom McCall Nature Preserve
Image wildflowers and waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge the weekend of April 18-20. Image waterfalls in the west end of the gorge going and coming. Image wildflowers at the Tom McCall preserve, and Cathrine Creek on the Washington side of the gorge. Join the group at the Rowena Overlook at 5:00 PM on Friday, or at the Wildflower Cafe, in Mosier, Or. at 9:00 AM on Saturday. Contact the Super Eight motel in the Dallas, Or. for a room. Try to car pool and share a room. Refer to Oregon's Best Wildflower Hikes-Northwest Region, by George Wuerthner and/or Wildflowers of the Columbia River Gorge vy Russ Jolley for inspiration, maps and trail guides. For waterfalls consult A Waterfall Lover's Guide to the Pacific Northwest by Gregory Plumb. If you are workinig call in well, tell 'um you are too well to work.
