Day Hike - Coldwater Peak, Harry's Ridge & Pumice Plain

We will spend the day on the Boundary Trail to admire and identify wildflowers, view geography of the pumice plains and the grandeur of Mt St. Helens. A slow paced hike with stops to take photos and use the flower ID books. This hike coincides with the Perseid Meteor Shower Campout at Mt St Helens. One of the rare opportunities to camp within the Boundary of the monument. Learn about it at

This hike will end at Johnston Ridge Observatory around 2:45pm.  Hike leader is a volunteer at Mt. St. Helens and is volunteering at 3:00pm  with the Perseid Meteor Shower Campout.
