Newport Hills P&R   5115 113th Pl SE, Bellevue.  Meet 8 am at the southwest corner.

BWS course students sign up thru 5/24, open to all hikers 5/25 - 5/27.  This is a gear shakedown hike for course hikers to try out new or used gear, check out their essential systems and decide whether to make a shopping list for different gear.  Pace - We will travel a social pace (can talk as we hike).  Map - The map for the park trail can be downloaded from here.  This is a great trail that travels through second growth forests in the area of an old coal mining townsite, past Coal Creek falls and along the south perimeter of the park.  We will begin and finish at the Red Town trailhead (TH).
