For those living in the South Sound, I can meet you at the South Federal Way Park and ride at 830 am. All others meet at the Coal Creek Family YMCA at 9:30 am. There is a nice bathroom at the YMCA that we can use prior to the hike if needed.
PARKING PASS: none required.
This is a fun urban hike in the middle of Bellevue. We will enjoy a lunch break on Lake Washington and then hike back. For most of this hike you do not even know you are in the middle of a city but there is a short part of the hike on intercity roads for the purpose of going under I-405 to get from Coal Creek Park to Newcastle Beach Park located on Lake Washington.
I usually hike in almost all weather conditions but, for safety purposes, the hike may be cancelled if there is a prediction of heavy snow conditions on this day.
