We'll go up Cleman Mountain, gaining 2000ft elevation in 1.25 miles. The trail can be loose and slippery, and it's intense, but a great trainer for bigger things and is often sunny and snow free with wildflowers, cool rock formations and herds of bighorn sheep! The angle mellows out a bit at the turnoff to waterworks Canyon, and most people go up Cleman and down waterworks Canyon. Our plan is to go all the way up to the road, gaining 4500 ft and then back down to the canyon.
Proof of Covid vaccine required. (I've got a trek in Peru scheduled 2 weeks from then and will not risk exposure.)
