We will all meet at 8:00 AM at the 65th Street P&R - north side of 65th street & then Ash Way P&R at 8:25 or 8:30 AM. We will regroup at the upper Larrabee State Park parking lot at 10:00 AM. There is a sign 400’ before the parking lot that says Lost Lake Day Use Parking 400 ft Ahead.
Birding: First, we will bird for about an hour on the Clayton Beach trail -- fairly short & easy. We will be stopping regularly to look at nature. This is not an A to B type of walk.
Low Tide Beach Exploration: The beach is generally an easy walk & you can limit yourself to the easy sections & have a good outing. However, some really interesting sea life requires a bit of scrambling over & around slippery very large boulders & such……lots of bending, stooping , squatting etc.
BE AWARE: a lot of exploration can be done by wading along the level sandy shoreline up to mid thigh. You will miss an amazing experience if you do not wade.
