Cispus area Waterfall Hikes and Cabin Overnighter: (appropriate for kids age 8 and up) (Maps Provided) On Saturday hike from Cispus Learning Center in the Gifford Pinchot to the spectacular Curtain and Angel Falls (3.4 miles, 900’ elevation gain, Easy). This hike has everything…..beautiful creek, woods, bridges, two river fords, amazing cliffs, caves, and some switchbacks to make you tough. A rewarding and do-able challenge to young and new hikers. Optional evening and overnight at a rustic cabin with campfire, log hopping, off trail exploring, small creek with falls. Sunday hike on the east side of Mt. Rainier along the Ohanepecosh River to Silver Falls (Easy, 2.7 miles, mimimal elevation gain) End the trip with a short visit to Grove of the Patriarchs, with its 1000 year old trees (1.1 miles, easy, no elevation gain). .
