Day Hike - Church Mountain
Reports say trail conditions are good, with some fallen trees. We may encounter snow in the meadow. The hike can include an easy scramble to the summit, depending on conditions and whether the group is so inclined.

We will meet at 7:30 AM the large (formerly K-mart) parking lot at the NW corner of Sunset Square, in Bellingham. From here we'll form carpools to the trailhead. Vehicles going to the trailhead need to be high-clearance. (A Subaru Forester, for example, is adequate.)
Please arrive at the meeting site by 7:30 AM. Expected return time to the Sunset Square parking lot is around 5:30 or 6:00 PM.
Be prepared for some snow on the trail. It's melting off fast, but snow patches will still be a possibility.
Be ready for snow on the trail. There may still be some lingering there.
Also expect some down trees along the trail.
Finally, if the conditions allow and the group is interested, we have the option of a short scramble to the summit.
