This is a long hike so please be on time and ready to go at 8:30am. I will be spending the night in Bellingham so carpooling is up to participants to organize
This is a grand loop hike in the Chuckanut Mountains! We will first hike to the secluded Lost Lake, where there is a cool waterfall at the lake outlet. We will then hike up to the top of Chuckanut Mountain, then follow a really long ridgeline that features views of Mount Baker, Salish Sea, Bellingham, and the Canadian mountains!
Trail map: https://www.whatcomcounty.us/DocumentCenter/View/6952/Chuckanut-Mountain-Park-Map?bidId=
We will try to maintain a steady 2 to 2.5 mph pace with limited breaks aside from viewpoints and at the lake. Please be in condition for the mileage and pace.
